Dog Day care

All dogs attending Paw by Paw doggie daycare  require a C5 Vaccinnation in order to be considered or to gain entry to our day care centre. You can send us an image via phone of the C5 vaccination certificate, email a copy, get your vet to call us, or bring it with you on your first visit. We can even remind you when your pup is due for their next shots. Vaccinations stop the spread of some very contagious diseases and offer protection against viruses and illness. Our facility is shared amongst our canine buddies and as such all require their C5 Vaccination or Booster shots to be up to date.

Dogs are grouped based on both size and temperament as well as their energy levels. We encourage different sizes and breeds to socialise but it is imperative that a thorough behaviour assessment is done in order to ensure that every dog is safe. We encourage you to read our What Happens at the Behaviour Assessment to better understand why this is best way to group dogs rather than simply grouping by Big Vs Small dogs. Understanding your dogs needs are an important part of our behaviour assessment.

We have 4 areas within our doggy daycare. Dogs are rotated through their stay to each of these areas. The Largest Play area encourages running and play and is fitted with custom agility equipment. Here is where we burn off excess energy for the day. Our second area brings the energy levels down a notch and we encourage a more relaxed play by doing nose work and brain games. The third area is used for training and initial assessments for dogs joining our play groups. Our fourth area is fully air-conditioned for dogs that need some rest and recuperation or simply need to close those droopy eyes. Here they can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the 2 larger play areas.

Protecting your dogs joints is important to their health. Floors are covered with soft rubber and thick synthetic grass that provides impact resistance and helps protect against injury to joints and prevent slips when your dogs have their all important romp and run. Our flooring is PVC free and provides an impermeable barrier which keeps it hygienic, easy to clean and helps keep it free of bacteria, commonly used in hospitals, schools, gyms and kitchens. 

Our centre is equipped with customised SAFE  equipment providing an opportunity to help build confidence and engagement in their surroundings. Equipped with jumps, sandit pit,  dog safe trampoline, slides, obstacles and wading pool. Agility is also excellent for building muscle, bone strength and helps burn off excess energy. At Paw by Paw we challenge your dogs mind and body, improve co- ordination and can help address boredom, separation anxiety through engagement.

Dogs love having a splash in the pool after a energetic session in the large play area. The large splash pool is equipped with a fun water fountain is cleaned and refreshed daily and filled to a level that is excellent for dogs needing to build on water confidence and provides another enjoyable way to exercise, plkay and cool off.

WE HAVE A FLEA FREE POLICY

 Note: All dogs entering our facility must be flea free, if your dog has fleas we will immediately bath them to get rid of the fleas and the cost will be added to your account $15

Our holding bays are used to provide a secure environment upon entry and departure. The holding pens are roomy and spacious and provide a safe space for dogs that require medication, feeding or quiet time. Dogs undergoing a behaviour assessment may also be contained within a holding bay until collected if they are not suited to daycare.
